Rumsfeld linked to `brutal' prison abuse, but no resignation required
This is the conclusion of the high-level inquiry looking into Abu Ghraib scandal:
"The U.S. chain of command from Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld down created conditions for the abuse last year at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison". But it also concludes that Rumsfeld should not resign because "His resignation would be a boon to all of America's enemies''.
This is how the US deals with negelgance at best and criminal actions at worst. This is how the US deals with the failure in ethical responsibilities. This is in fact nothing but the behaviour of an arrogant empire that is increasingly desliked by the people around the world.
