Israeli "democracy"? My a**!

He was jailed in Israel for 18 years, during most of which time he was held in solitary confinement, for telling the world that Israel was hiding its nuclear weapons program. At the end of his jail term, he was "freed" but conditional to...well.. not being quite free. A condition which was added after his jail term had ended and not before beginning of the term.

At the time of his release in April 2004, Mordechai Venunu was once again barred from talking to the foreign media, despite the fact that there was no such a term included in his initial conviction back in 1986. As I said, this new requirement was only added to his terms of release, AFTER he had served his 18 years in prison.

Really! What is it that the "democratic" state of Israel is afraid of Venunu so much and makes every effort to shut him up?

...And now it is their lawyers' turn

After harassing and abusing hundreds of the detainees in Guantanamo, the Bush gang is now making things difficult for the detainees' lawyers.

Is there any limit to the abusive behaviour of the gang of Washington?

My hope and dream is to, one day, see every member of this gang behind bars and facing trials for crimes they have committed against humanity. But I do believe that even these animals should have the right to full access to lawyers to ensure they are tried to the highest standards of justice.

Boris Yeltsin: a hero or an angel of poverty and misery?

Former Russian president Boris Yeltsin has passed away.

Read the commentaries from different people; Russian and non-Russian, at these BBC pages. It is interesting that Yeltsin receives more praise from non-Russians than Russians who mostly blame him for bringing poverty and misery to Russia after collapse of the Soviet Union that was, some say, championed by Yeltsin.

Knowing BBC and the fact that it is not un-biased in publishing or not publishing comments from different people, I am sure there must be even more to the disapproval of Yeltsin by the Russian people (or the people from former Soviet Republics) than what BBC's selection of published comments would wants us to believe. Most of the praise is coming from westerners with, well... limited knowledge of the Soviet era (Thanks to their mainstream media). However, who really cares what the non-Russians think. They are not the ones who are directly affected by what Yeltsin brought to or took away from Russians.

Korean war: One more chapter of US's dark track record

Six years after declaring the U.S. killing of Korean War refugees at No Gun Ri was "not deliberate," the U.S. Army has acknowledged it found – but did not divulge –that a high-level document said the U.S. military had a policy of shooting approaching civilians in South Korea.

The document, a letter from the U.S. ambassador in South Korea to the State Department in Washington, is dated the same day in 1950 when U.S. troops began the No Gun Ri shootings, in which survivors say hundreds, mostly women and children, were killed.

Exclusion of the embassy letter from the army's 2001 investigative report is the most significant among numerous omissions of documents and testimony pointing to a policy of firing on refugee groups – according to undisclosed evidence uncovered by Associated Press.

South Korean petitioners say hundreds more refugees died later in 1950 as a result of the U.S. practice. The Seoul government is investigating one such large-scale killing, of refugees stranded on a beach, newly confirmed via U.S. archives (Read the rest here).

Iran, Chili, Vietnam, Cuba, Korea, Granada and... you name it... and now, Iraq. What part of the world has been ammuned from US's aggressions? These may be things of the past and present but let's hope for the end of it and not repeat of them in the future.

Simply Cowardice or playing too much violent video games?

The US troops have once again screwed up. In the latest crime committed by these spoiled kids who are either too cowardice that they react, out of fear, to every single violent event with such a disproportionate response, or they are just too trigger happy not to realize that every single bullet that is shot wrongly can kill innocent people, and that is perhaps because they have difficulty distinguishing video war games from the actual armed conflicts.

....The report, published by Afghanistan's Human Rights Commission, said the reaction was disproportionate.

The special command unit used "indiscriminate force", it says, killing both women and children....

Read the rest to see how they have, once again, violated the International Humanitarian Law and how they have attempted to cover up the screw up. Well, looks like this behaviour is becoming routine in the US's behaviours around the world.

Politically, morally and financially corrupt Paul Wolfowitz

It is not surprising at all that Paul Wolfowitz, former Deputy Defense Secretary of the US and one of the so many "Americans by birth, but Israelis at heart" who are in control of the most powerful and key positions in the political stages of the United States, has now been exposed with abuse of his power; this time in the financial stages of the world's most powerful monetary institution, World Bank.

Before becoming the President of the World Bank, Wolfowitz was one of the main architects of the war and invasion of Iraq.

At first step, Wolfowitz should be forced to resign from his current position at the World Bank and then along with many of his alikes in the US Administration should be put on trial for the crimes they have committed against millions of Iraqi people who are suffering tremendously as a result of the invasion of Iraq which was pushed for by these gangsters.

Uncertain future at Guantanamo Bay

I can't help but regularly looking at this picture and trying to figure out what is going on in his mind. What is he thinking about? His wife? His children? His mother? His father? His ....? and that when, if ever, he will see them again?

Let's remember that THIS is a Human being; with all the feelings and emotions of a human being. He is being abused.

He has no voice. Please become his voice and insist to be heard. Please help him regain his denied human rights in whichever way you can. He has access to nothing.

The US continues massive violation of human rights

I just had this post that compares the difference in the treatment of the British sailors who were detained in Iran for thirteen days and hundreds of detainees held in Guantanamo Bay for years, without a charge and without a trial; left to an unknown future.

The latest of BushCo's human rights violations has come under fire by human rights groups; that is the brutal force-feeding of the detainees in Guantanamo who are on hunger strike as a protest to their inhumane and barbaric treatment by their American captors.

Every single one of these brutalities will forever remain in the dark report card of the fascist US leaders.
