HUMAN first, then a proud IRANIAN

This blog represents the way I see some of the most significant events impacting the world and its citizens. This blog also represents how I react to the events as a member of humanity with a voice, a determined voice that insists to be heard. The voice of an Iranian who loves his country but his priority is humanity; humanity without border. I will say what I want to say, when I want to say it, and how I want to say it, but I will never lie. I will also listen; I promise.

Iranian New Year and Iraq invasion

Beginning of spring, the Iranian New Year, has always been the most exciting time of the year for me. But two years ago, when I knew that almost at the peak time of my celebrations, bombs would start falling on Iraqi Children, when I knew that so many bodies would be burnt, so many lives would be shattered and a country would be invaded by the forces of the bullies, the excitement of the new year fast faded in me and was replaced by anger and sorrow.

I don't quite know what to say now, except to hope that the new year would bring some smile on the faces of humanity. With that hope, Happy celebration of life, Happy arrival of spring, Happy Norouz; the Iranian New Year.

More about Norouz; from National Geographic, here.
