HUMAN first, then a proud IRANIAN

This blog represents the way I see some of the most significant events impacting the world and its citizens. This blog also represents how I react to the events as a member of humanity with a voice, a determined voice that insists to be heard. The voice of an Iranian who loves his country but his priority is humanity; humanity without border. I will say what I want to say, when I want to say it, and how I want to say it, but I will never lie. I will also listen; I promise.

Thanks to you and thanks to Amnesty International; Afsaneh is safe now

Many months ago, in this and this post, I provided some info and updates on the case of the young Iranian woman, Afsaneh Norouzi, who was to be executed for killing of the man who attempted to rape her. Also, in this post, I appealed for help by bringing up the action alert from Amnesty International to save her from execution. Many of you, might have taken part in that campaign one way or another in helping Afsaneh.  Well, now it's time for celebration because Afsaneh will NOT be executed:
"The Supreme Court has quashed the death sentence against Afsaneh Norouzi for some deficiencies in the case"
Who knows, may be this is, at least partly, as a result of the efforts of the people who took time and responded according to the Amnesty International's action alert. Please participate in these actions more often. You may really help save lives.
