HUMAN first, then a proud IRANIAN

This blog represents the way I see some of the most significant events impacting the world and its citizens. This blog also represents how I react to the events as a member of humanity with a voice, a determined voice that insists to be heard. The voice of an Iranian who loves his country but his priority is humanity; humanity without border. I will say what I want to say, when I want to say it, and how I want to say it, but I will never lie. I will also listen; I promise.

The CIA: Hanging out its dirty laundry from the 1970s

...After years of denying, at least explicitly, that it had made any attempt to assassinate foreign leaders, the CIA now acknowledges that it had hatched plots to eliminate Cuban President Fidel Castro, Congo leader Patrice Lumumba and Rafael Trujillo, a cruel dictator in the neighbouring Dominican Republic — and someone the CIA had helped to power.

The summary of the documents say the agency had "no active part" but only a "faint connection" to the wealthy families who organized the shooting of Trujillo as he was driving in his car on dusty back road in May 1961. However, as you read into the documentation, senior directors of the agency report that the CIA had "quite extensive involvement" with the Trujillo plotters.

That corresponds to news reports that came out in the mid-1970, which said CIA operatives had supplied the guns to the plotters and other strategic advice.

The Castro plots, on the other hand, were all well documented before the Senate investigative panel known as the Church committee in 1975. The CIA, it was reported, had explored the possibility of "removing" Castro with poisoned cigars and even a specially rigged diving suit.

These documents go into greater detail over the attempt to use the Mafia, which had its own reasons for wanting back into the lucrative Cuban casino business, to take out Castro. The contacts began during the last of the Eisenhower years and the plan became directly approved by then CIA director Allen Dulles, one of the deans of American foreign policy.

According to the documents, a CIA operative met with Mafia contact Johnny Roselli in Las Vegas in 1960 and told Roselli the agency would be willing to pay up to $150,000 to have Castro dealt with. Roselli, initially, didn't want any part of the idea but he helped make the connection to top mobsters Sam Giancana and Santo Trafficante, both then on the FBI's wanted list... .

CIA's clear charactoristics of a terrorist organization. This I am sure is only a small part of what could be revealed. There is much more into it.

I wonder, when is the CIA going to hang out its current dirty laundry?

Palestinian internal conflict; Fatah vs Hamas

It is simple. Secular Fatah was in power; the so-called peace process with Israel was getting nowhere; Fatah was not getting the cooperation it needed from Israel; daily harassment of Palestinians by the Israeli occupiers was non-stop; But Fatah still insisted in the concept of peace with Israel; People were getting fed up of the talk of peace which was getting no results; Then there was election time; Being angry at Fatah who was still insisting on the necessity of peace with Israel while the Israeli harassment was ongoing; people voted for and elected Hamas who was not advocating Peace with Israel. Basically, Hamas came to power as a result of practically ineffectiveness of Fatah. But...

I am no fan of Hamas. As a matter of fact, I do believe that Hamas (just like any organization which is driven by the religious ideology) is more dangerous than any secular entity such as Fatah. But, who am I to decide for the Palestinians! Good or bad, right or wrong, Hamas was democratically elected by the Palestinians. But the hypocrite western countries who always claim to be the champions of democracy (along with the occupier Israel) , began not supporting Hamas and not recognizing it as the Palestinians' legitimate and democratically elected government. The money transfers stopped, harassments of the Palestinians continued; Some Hamas Members of the Parliament were arrested by the Israeli occupiers... and the world remained silent. The western countries, and particularly the United States kept denouncing Hamas and making things even more difficult for Hamas to govern. As a result of all these, things got to the point of explosion that we see now. Driven from the anger of the Palestinians towards the western countries and Israel, Hamas has continued being even more popular everyday and now..... . And now, they rule Gaza trip. They are extremely powerful. In short, Western countries and the US have screwed up again. I wonder. has there been anywhere that these jerks of Washington touched that hasn't been ruined? I don't think so.

Just one more point: Let's not forget that Hamas was indeed created by Israel to undermine Yaser Arafat's Fatah. They have now indeed achieved that goal.

The Vatican Crap

The Vatican has urged all Catholics to stop donating money to Amnesty International, accusing the human rights group of promoting abortion.

The Vatican also said it was suspending all financial aid to Amnesty over what it said was the group's recent change of policy on the issue.

Amnesty said it was not promoting abortion as a universal right.

But the group said that women had a right to choose, particularly in cases of rape or incest...

Undoubtedly, Amnesty International has been a valuable independent organization promoting and fighting for human rights around the Globe. On the other hand, the Catholic Church and the Vatican, with its tremendous money and influence which has been proven useless when it comes to playing a positive role for peace and for human rights, is now criticizing Amnesty International and is asking its followers not to donate to the organization.

Way to go Vatican; You've not only been useless, you are now even trying to damage human rights by trying to hurt the Amnesty. I am sure, the mass murderers and criminals, such as the US and Israeli leaders as well as all other leaders who hate human dignity, are celebrating now. Congratulations you piece of crap, the Vatican.

Well, this anti-human act of the Vatican just reminded me to increase my monthly donation to the Amnesty International. Let's show the fanatics in Rome that their idiocy should remain for their own stupid selves.
