HUMAN first, then a proud IRANIAN

This blog represents the way I see some of the most significant events impacting the world and its citizens. This blog also represents how I react to the events as a member of humanity with a voice, a determined voice that insists to be heard. The voice of an Iranian who loves his country but his priority is humanity; humanity without border. I will say what I want to say, when I want to say it, and how I want to say it, but I will never lie. I will also listen; I promise.

Racist to their bones; knowingly or un-knowingly

The above mosaic was taken from a "progressive" American site named The Huffington Post. It correctly reminds its readers about the American casualties of war and indicates those who are responsible for it. But even this so-called progressive American site does not touch on the fact that, as sad and tragic as it is, if these 4000 US soldiers who willingly travelled thousands of miles to another country to participate in the invasion of that country have been killed, there have also been more than a million innocent Iraqis, who did not choose the situation they were in, who have also been killed because of this criminal invasion.

How could they note 4000, but practically ignore over a million? Perhaps if they had included little squares for each of the casualties of this war, then the resolution of the mosaic would be much higher and it would be more imaginable (for those who are strangers to the concept of numbers) that the number of 4000 US casualties is insignificant compare to the number of dead Iraqis.

If the progressive Americans are so ignorant at best, and arrogant at worst, can be so racist, then what could be expected from other more ordinary Americans? Really!

The butcher Bush's criminal war exposed by his own troops

Former Marine Jon Turner began his presentation by ripping his service medals off his shirt and tossing them into the first row. He then narrated a series of graphic photographs that brought gasps from the audience. In a matter-of-fact voice, he described episodes in which he and fellow Marines shot people out of fear or retribution.

"I'm sorry for the hate and destruction I've inflicted upon innocent people," Turner said. "Until people hear about what is happening in this war, it will continue."

Winter Soldiers testify against the war and what America is doing. A bit too late but, I hope, at last America's conscience is awakening.

I wonder why!

Report: Anti-Semitism on the rise globally

With what the Jewish state of Israel is doing to millions of Palestinians and with the rich, powerful and influential Israeli lobby who have tremendous impact on the policies of many powerful countries around the world, I wonder why Jews are being disliked everyday more than the day before.

I sympathize with those decent Jews who do not approve of the Israeli policies. Sadly, they too will be painted with the same brush.

Civilian deaths are indefensible by any excuse

I am sure you have heard so many times that Israelis do not intentionally kill Palestinian civilians when attacking Palestinian cities, but Palestinians deliberately kill Israeli civilians. In short, this nothing but bullshit from the Israeli fascists. Just looking at the numbers and the proportion of Palestinian to Israeli civilian deaths should be sufficient to realize how these animals are committing crimes against humanity. Having said that, today, a letter published in Toronto Star drew my attention. You know, most letters criticizing Israel, do not get published in most of the media outlets, even Toronto Star which is fairly more balanced compared to many papers, do not publish many letters, including any of my at least 12 letters in last two weeks. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see the letter that I saw today. The letter nicely sums it up:

Alan Baker, the Israeli ambassador to Canada, finds that "no reasonable people can be expected to suffer constant, daily barrages of missiles and the deliberate murder of its civilians without the right to defend itself."

Does he think that the daily sonic booms and far-deadlier attacks by Apache gunships, Merkava tanks, naval vessels and F-16 fighter jets are not "indiscriminate," do not "terrorize a civilian population" and are "not merely illegal and immoral, but ... a violation of the most basic norms and principles of international law"? Does he think they do not constitute "a war crime of the first dimension, going against all accepted norms of civilization"?

The current high ratio of Palestinian to Israeli deaths belies the mantra that Israel doesn't target civilians. Israel does target civilians and civilian infrastructure. How else could one explain the deaths of so many children, and the destruction of hospitals, schools and homes?

"Defending itself" does not release Israel from its obligation to take all feasible precautions to minimize harm to civilians and civilian property during military operations. Israel has been acting outside the rule of law with impunity for far too long. The illegal occupation of Arab lands, targeted assassinations – effectively acting as prosecutor, judge and jury in a secret process where the death sentence can't be appealed – and collective punishment are all violations of international and humanitarian law.

It is ironic that Baker invokes the importance of international law for Palestinians, while seemingly putting Israel high above it. Civilian deaths, be they Israeli or Palestinian, must be condemned with the same vigour; human beings must be treated equally in death as in life. This is the only way to maintain our humanity and that of the victims, and to ensure that a just peace can be achieved.

I likee to meet the guy at the same cliff

This video was on Youtube a couple of days ago. But they pulled it out. As if the world must not see the "heroism" of the American marines.

No wonder why over one million people have been killed in Iraq since the invasion.

F*cking media

One Israeli gets hurt, it is all over the news. 60 Palestinians, including at least 8 children, are slaughtered by the Isreali Nazi-Fascists, the media is silent. F*ck this injustice.

It is so easy to begin hating Israel.

Oh, what a "hero"

I am sure you have heard by now about Prince Harry being in Afghanistan for a few weeks. Being in Afghanistan doing what? I ask! I am sure the Prince kept many of the British soldiers busy protecting him... . But he had to go there. He had to enable the stupid monarchy to tell the people that "Our loved ones are there too". But he couldn't be there for long after all and there must have been a plan to get him back without damaging the goal of sending him there: "fooling the British". So, what is better than, after few weeks, having stories in the media, "exposing" that he is in Afghanistan? Now, after this is public, the excuse to bring him back is automatically created: "Now, that this information is public, the enemy will make particular efforts to kidnap the Prince, so, although he "loves" serving his country, although he doesn't mind being in the war zone and facing the dangers, but not that much danger. The danger now is too much for our Prince and he has to come home".

Once again media played its dirty role. The goal is now achieved. The boy is home; safe and sound, like a hero, and the people are fooled. Good planning, isn't it? This can be easily bought but stupids; the same stupids who still, in 21st century, believe in monarchy.

Why just Ali and not his American co-criminals?

Capital punishment is barbaric; in any shape or form and with any excuse. But now that Chemical Ali is going to be executed, let's remember those who fed him while he was committing the same crimes that he is being executed for. Let's remember the typical criminal role that the US leaders played during Saddam Hussein's regime, particularly chemical bombing of Halabjah.
